Newfound Freedom

Some great news...J.R. has continued sleeping soundly as ever AND now without being swaddled!  It ended up not being as huge a struggle as I thought I would be.  I forget sometimes what an adaptable little dude he is.  Well to start to wean from swaddling, I read somewhere that you should do a few naps with one arm swaddled and the other out, so one arm is what he got. It was so funny to put him down like that because this is what he looked like:

But he eventually fell asleep so we stuck with it.

Next step up...swaddle with both arms out.

Which worked great.  But then he started rolling up onto his side...

And then of course onto his tummy.

We figured it was probably time to go in for the kill and just put the boy down completely free of any wrappings.  He did great!

Studly Sunglass Wearing Duo

Since Jeff is such an avid advocate of wearing sunglasses, I thought it would be a good idea to start the little guy in them as soon as possible to protect his beautiful little eyes.  After searching around, I finally found a pair I thought might work at Target and snatched them right up. J.R. is such a good sport to wear them! He doesn't even act bothered that they are on.  In fact, one time Jeff took J.R. on a walk...just the two of them...and happened to look down at the boy a few minutes into the walk and noticed the sunglasses where completely askew and his hat was down covering his face...not a peep from the boy.  What a sweetheart.

Rolling Machine

J.R. has just started rolling over from his back to tummy as of a few days ago.  Apparently he can't get enough of it because the minute I put him down on his back he'll start trying to pop over to his tummy.  This is usually accompanied by loud squealing and such.  Very entertaining to watch.
