Sugar Mountain

So...a while back we were able to head to the mountains. Jeff has a coworker whose parent's own a cabin that they offered to us for a trip.  It was a great retreat. We spent some time in a nearby city, Blowing Rock.  It was a precious little city! There was a great park right smack dab in the center of town. The boys were in heaven.

I wanted to go down the slide and JR told me (unprompted) that he would catch me!! What a precious dude.  So this is what awaited me at the bottom of the slide :)

Here I come!!!...

Enjoying some delicious ice cream.

Oh, Connor wanted some so bad!!

We found a school right close to where we were staying and spent some time there playing around one morning. Gorgeous surroundings.

Unfortunately I was terrible at taking pictures, so these are the only times that we busted out our camera during our 4 day stay!  It was a great getaway.

Bedtime Story

These pics are from a few months back...

The Boys

Connor so excited for some rice cereal action:

Peas...not so much!

Basketball dude:

We went to a family fun day at a Karate place last saturday and JR got a little mini lesson in karate kicks and a few hits.  Here is him in action.  He was loving life.

Cuties:

Connor loving him some more food:

Evolution of a Tipping Baby

Connor was super smiley during a recent diaper changing session. I didn't want to risk the moment passing, so I ran to grab the camera and plopped the boy on the bed with high hopes of capturing some cute smiles. Decided not to waste time with something as trivial as finishing the dressing process, hence the bare leg! haha :)

Uh-oh...

No stopping it...

Here we go, all straightened out...

I see you!

Getting a little uncomfortable, so...

...I'll just flip over onto my back.  Exactly where I wanted to be...just snacking away on my fingers!

Connor Blessing

Winter Weather Advisory.  Treacherous travel conditions due to black ice from freezing rain.  This is what we woke up to.  Church was cancelled. The first time our church meetings have ever been cancelled since we've lived here in Raleigh.  Just so happened to be the meeting we'd arranged to bless our sweet Connor boy.  Crazy! Jeff's parents were in town for said blessing...from Colorado.  We ended up just blessing him at home late morning.  It was wonderful.

Beautiful March morning in Raleigh...hahaha!! :)
