Happy Fall!

What's fall without a trip to  pumpkin patch?! Actually this is the first year we've ever gone...but it was awesome and felt very fall-ish! :) 

Found a small green pumpkin right off the bat

...and carried it around with him as he surveyed the joint

...and rolled it down a ramp until it fell off into a corner where it was lost for good

...and then searched for a better pumpkin

What a funny boy to love wiping up the floor! Anytime water or anything spills on the floor, J.R. quickly says "uh-oh" and reaches for a paper towel.  He gets that floor cleaned right up.

Coloring

It is getting quite toasty here in North Carolina and I'm being a wimp about going outside during all of this sticky humidity-ness, so J.R. and I have had to get a little creative with indoor activities.  One of his favorite things to do lately (not that this is very creative on my end) is to color! I didn't think he would have any interest in doing so as the activity requires one to sit still.  He loves it though! Yesterday he was strapped into his little booster and coloring happily for about 30 minutes. Too fun.

When he is done with a crayon he will sweetly hand it to me...

so that he has a free hand to grab a new one...the more the better for this dude.

These Days

So we have been in North Carolina now for almost 2 months! Crazy. Here's a little of what we've been up to as of late:

Spending a good amount of time at the complex pools...which J.R. loves!

Some fun day outings...a few museums, outdoor malls, the Raleigh Temple...

 We made it to the beautiful Wrightsville Beach!
